FATLAND is a novella written by Nick Herman to accompany his solo 2012 exhibition at LAXART. A tragic farce that confronts American tropes of power and Manifest Destiny, FATLAND tells the story of a nameless narrator who is buried alive and attempts to reconstruct his life while trapped in the dark.
